2 Nov 2015: European Equal Pay Day 2015
On 2 November, the European Commission will be marking European Equal Pay Day 2015. As there is a gender pay gap of 16.3% in the EU, from now on women symbolically stop earning for the rest of the year.
The European Commission marks this day to draw attention to the gender pay gap, and its underlying causes. In order to do so, today the European Commission releases:
